Join author Carly Schwartz for a reading and discussion of her new memoir, I'll Try Anything Twice: Misadventures of a Self-Medicated Life, in conversation with attorney, therapist, and treatment specialist Rudy Novak.
Described by early readers as "Eat Pray Love gone horribly wrong," Carly's book explores how her quest to escape from depression and addiction led her on a dizzying international journey through a jungle commune and a maze of mental health treatments, before she found recovery where she least expected it.
Directions: From the Venetian, take the pedestrian bridge to Treasure Island Hotel and the guest room/meeting room elevators down one floor to Level 2. From the main lobby entrance on the Strip, take the guest room elevators up to Level 2. Once on Level 2, follow the signs for "Caribbean Rooms."
This intimate gathering is open to anyone who loves Phish, is curious about the recovery world, or simply appreciates a good story.
All proceeds benefit the Divided Sky Foundation, and attendees will receive a signed copy of Carly's book with their donation (minimum $25 suggested).
